A mini version of a traditional Christmas favorite, these will transport you to a magical world of fairy tale sweets.

Ingredients and Supplies

  • 8oz Make'n Mold Dark Mint Flavored Candy Wafers
  • 8oz Make'n Mold Vanilla Flavored Candy Wafers
  • 2oz Make'n Mold Dark Green Candy Wafers
  • 2oz Make'n Mold Red Candy Wafers
  • 1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup

Directions

Step 1 Melt the Dark Mint Flavored Candy Wafers in a microwaveable safe bowl according to package instructions. Add 1⁄4 cup of corn syrup and mix to form a ball. Wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator. Leave for 1-2 hours until firm.
Step 2 Melt the Vanilla Flavored Candy Wafers in a microwaveable safe bowl according to package instructions. Add 1⁄4 cup of corn syrup and mix to form a ball. Wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator. Leave for 1-2 hours until firm.
Step 3 Remove from the refrigerator and cut each ball into 4 equal size pieces.
Step 4 Work the Vanilla Flavored Candy Clay and Mint Flavored Candy Clay separately in your hands so it becomes soft enough to shape. Shape each piece into a 4 x 2 inch rectangle.
Step 5 Place one rectangle of Candy Clay in between 2 sheets of wax paper and roll out to 1/8 inch tickneness (keeping the rectangle shape as much as possible). Remove from in between the wax paper and set aside, repeat with other pieces.
Step 6 Take a rectangle of Dark Mint Flavored Candy Clay and place a rectangle of Vanilla Flavored Candy Clay on top. Trim the edges so they are the same size.
Step 7 Set the rectangle so that the long side is in front of you with the Vanilla Flavored Candy Clay on top of the Dark Mint Flavored Candy Clay. Fold over the first 1/8 inch away from yourself, starting the roll.
Step 8 Continue to roll away from yourself creating the log like shape. Trim each end to make even and then cut the log in to 4 equal lengths. Repeat with remaining rectangles.
Step 9 Melt the Red and Dark Green Vanilla Flavored Candy Wafers according to package instructions. Put melted Candy Wafers into separate Mini Decorators Squeeze Bottles. Use the Squeeze Bottles to decorate holly leaves and berries on top of the Yule Logs. Chill for 10 minutes.

    As a pastry student who LOVES working with chocolate, I came up with a couple
    different ideas for flavoring and coloring
    these logs. I am going to try these this easter for certain!
