Polar Penguin Cookies

Start with your favorite pre-made sugar cookie mix. Roll, bake, and cut in To determine the number of ounces used to create these cookies it will depend on how many cookies you plan to make. For a majority of the candy wafer colors you will less than a quarter ounce per cookie. Each cookie will use a majority of vanilla candy wafers. You shouldn't need more than a bag of any color, and if you have left over bags of the other colors you can use, that'd be ideal!

Ingredients

  • Vanilla Flavored Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Light Blue Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Black Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Orange Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Red Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Dark Green Make’n Mold Candy Wafers

Kitchenware

  • 6 Piping bags
  • 1 Wax paper lined cookie sheet

Directions

Step 1 In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the Vanilla Flavored Candy Wafers according to the package instructions. Dip the top of your cookies into the melted wafers, and let set on wax paper lined cookie sheet.
Step 2 With melted vanilla wafers in piping bag outline your cookie. Pipe the door by piping one free form tombstone shape and another ¼ inch inside the first. Fill the space between the two lines.
Step 3 Pipe lines going out from the outer door to the outside edge of the cookie. Then in each section, pipe lines, staggering them to look like ice bricks.
Step 4 Outline the door again, finishing by piping lines for bricks between the door outlines.
Step 5 On the side of the doorway pipe a fat oval half the size of the doorway.
Step 6 With melted black wafers in a piping bag, pipe a little head above the oval and long flippers down each side of the oval.
Step 7 With melted orange wafers in a piping bag, pipe beak and feet.
Step 8 With the vanilla piping bag, pipe two little eyes.
Step 9 With melted green wafers in a piping bag and melted red wafers in another piping bag, pipe three little berries above the door and add leaves, making mistletoe.
Step 10 With melted light blue wafers, rim the cookie’s bottom edge to look like ice.
