Santa Belly Cookies

Start with your favorite pre-made sugar cookie mix. Roll, cut into circles, and bake. To determine the number of ounces used to create these cookies it will depend on how many cookies you plan to make. For a majority of the candy wafer colors you will less than a quarter ounce per cookie. Each cookie will use a majority of red candy wafers. You shouldn't need more than a bag of any color, and if you have left over bags of the other colors you can use, that'd be ideal!

Ingredients

  • Red Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Vanilla Flavored Make’n Mold Candy Wafers
  • Black Make’n Mold Candy Wafers

Kitchenware

  • 2 Piping Bags
  • 1 Wax paper lined cookie sheet

Directions

Step 1 In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the Red Candy Wafers according to the package instructions. Dip the top of your cookie into the melted wafers, and let set on wax paper lined cookie sheet.
Step 2 With melted black wafers in a piping bag, pipe a thick line across that dips a little in the center.
Step 3 Pipe a square in the middle of the black line, leaving a little space on the top and bottom.
Step 4 With vanilla wafers melted in a piping bag, pipe another thick line, but from top to bottom. Scallop the edges a little to make the “coat” look fuzzy and warm.
Step 5 With the melted black wafers piping bag, pipe three buttons.
